Borehole Pump Repairs in Chartwell

Planning your Chartwell property

For Chartwell smallholding projects, send a sketch of the route between the borehole, storage tanks and buildings. Mark buried services and any shared access before an assessment is arranged.

Share the pump and controller details

Send photographs of the nameplate and controller, any displayed fault indication and the symptoms. Provide installation depth, pump age and past repair details if recorded. Confirm whether the motor runs and whether water reaches the tank.

Assess before replacing equipment

A non-running pump, a control fault and a pump that runs without delivering water need different checks. Ask for a diagnosis covering the relevant pump, controls and supply conditions before approving replacement equipment.

Confirm retrieval and replacement scope

If the pump needs lifting, ask whether retrieval, rising main checks, cable condition and reinstallation are included. A proposed replacement should suit tested yield, lift and delivery requirements rather than motor size alone.

Verify pumping and controls

After repairs, discuss delivery to storage, start and stop operation and any applicable protection settings. Keep the pump specification and service findings with your borehole records for future maintenance.
